Palliser Real Estate Information

Palliser is a beautiful Southwest Calgary neighbourhood that has a special history. The name likely rings familiar because it's shared with other significant points of interest in the area, such as the Palliser Mountain Range and Palliser Hotel.

The name comes from the early explorer named Captain John Palliser, who is known for surveying the land mass between the Pacific Ocean and Lake Superior. His exploration was so significant that his name will long live on in this community and other historic landmarks.

Palliser Housing Insights

Established in 1967, Palliser was separated from the luxury community of Pump Hill in 1991. The majority of homes for sale in Palliser are apartments and single-family dwellings.

Although traditional residences may not be most familiar, homeowners who live in them take great pride in their appearance. This is why most properties are adorned by beautiful vegetation, gardens, and green grass in their front and backyards. Row houses and apartments share this same beauty, with pathways lined with mature trees and green grass located throughout the neighbourhood.

Real estate in Palliser is in high demand as a result of the community being in a prime location and buyers can’t idle too much as listings in the area often sell at a faster rate than in other parts of Calgary.

As one of the most historic spots in the southwest sector of the city, Palliser makes for a great place to live. While the pleasing appearance of properties is a big draw, the location also pulls in buyers. It's bordered by 90th Avenue to the north, Southland Drive SW on the south, 19 Street SW on the east, and 24 Street SW to the west. These major roadways provide convenient access to nearby communities, downtown Calgary, and anywhere else residents could want to go.
