Rosedale is a residential neighborhood in the north-west quadrant of Calgary. It is located south of the Trans-Canada Highway, between 4th and 10th Street NW. To the south it is bounded by McHugh Bluff Park and the community of Sunnyside.
Rosedale is one of Calgary's oldest residential communities, with some homes dating prior to its annexation in 1911. The area is primarily single family detached dwellings. The most expensive homes in the area are those closest to the edge of the escarpment, along Crescent Road, which have stunning views of downtown. There are several expensive low-rise condominiums east of Centre Street overlooking the Bow River, and some less expensive apartments further north. The area has fast access into downtown using 10th Street, Centre Street, and Edmonton Trail. It also has relatively fast access to the mountains via 16th Avenue, on its northern edge.
