Many more amenities are in close proximity to Beddington Heights as well, including the shopping area on the corner of Sandarac Dr. NW and Berkshire Blvd. Here visitors will find a coffee shop, pizzeria, ice cream shop, and children's centre.
Additional shopping can be found at the Creekside Shopping Centre, Market Mall, and Country Hills Town Centre. With each of these being a short drive or public transit trip, residents don't have to travel far to enjoy all that the area has to offer. The community of Country Hills also features a cinema for those who love to watch films. The Deerfoot City Shopping Complex is also only 4km to the southeast and packed full of options for shopping, eating, and entertainment.
Two schools are located in the community, including Beddington Heights Elementary (public school) and St. Bede Elementary (separate school). There are many more education facilities in the neighbouring communities that residents can choose from. The University of Calgary is also in close proximity, being just 11km to the southwest. This is situated next to McMahon Stadium, Foothills Medical Centre, and Alberta Children's Hospital. Additional healthcare services can be found at the Peter Lougheed Centre, which is 12km to the southeast. For those who travel often, the Calgary International Airport is just a 10-minute drive to the east via 96 Ave NE.

There's also a large community centre within the area that hosts recreation activities all throughout the year for residents of all ages. The main hall of this centre even has a gym, sports facilities, and a banquet hall.
Beyond the recreation options within Beddington Heights is Nose Hill Park, which borders the west side along 14 St NW. Featuring pathways, picnic space, trails, and wildlife, it's easy to see why this is by far one of the most popular parks in all of Calgary. Just a few minutes east of this is the Thornhill Aquatic & Recreation Centre, which is an excellent spot for water and sports play all throughout the year. Golf enthusiasts are also in close proximity to the beautiful Country Hills Golf Course, which is less than 4km to the north and a short 5-minute drive. This connects on the south to the Nose Creek Parkway, offering residents of Beddington Heights even more options for fun outdoors.
