Single-family homes in Harvest Hills particular are dominant in this community, although more condos and apartments have been seen in recent years. The prices of most single-properties range from the mid $250,000's to the high $600,000's, with condos being a bit more budget-friendly.

In total there were over 2,548 dwellings in 2014, with 7,594 residents living within them. This was a slight decrease from the previous year's population, but overall the number of residents in this community has held strong over the years.

When it comes to the location of Harvest Hills, it’s both convenient as well as beautiful. It's bounded by Country Hills Blvd NE to the north, Harvest Hills Blvd N to the west, 96 Ave NE to the south, and Coventry Blvd NE to the east.

Deerfoot Trail is located just minutes away, making it easy to commute all over the city. For those who do not drive, there is public transit stops conveniently located all throughout the neighbourhood.

There are numerous amenities for residents of Harvest Hills to enjoy, including the shopping centre that's in the southwest corner. This features a gas station and convenience store that complement the restaurants, liquor stores, and boutiques that are situated all around the neighbourhood.

Looking north to the community there are even more amenities, including grocery stores, banks, restaurants, cafés, home improvement stores, pizza take-out, grocery stores, and more. There are also shopping and other conveniences immediately south of Harvest Hills, featuring a supermarket, bakery, restaurants, and brewhouse.

Health care services are available in Harvest Hills, such as Harvest Dental Care. For additional health care needs, Peter Lougheed Centre is 13km away, which is less than a 20-minute drive. There's also a Maternity Care Clinic conveniently located in the southwest corner of the community.

When it comes to education, some of the top options include Brentwood Elementary, John Diefenbaker High, and Colonel Irvine Junior High. Private schools are also in close proximity and include St. Margaret's Elementary/Junior High in Charleswood and St. Francis High. Ascension of our Lord K-9 is easy to travel to as well, is located in the community on Harvest Hills Dr. NE.

When it comes to travelling about 10 minutes away, is less than 7km to the southeast. Deerfoot City is a major shopping centre tucked away right by the airport, offering visitors retail, dining, and entertainment options. For those interested in religious services, Harvest Hills Alliance Church on Harvest Hills Blvd is one of the closest options. To do something different, there are historic sites such as the John A. Lewis Rock Quarry and Reverend George McDouglas Cairn in close proximity.

With rolling croplands and hills situated throughout Harvest Hills, it's easy for residents here to take advantage of the beautiful views of West Nose and Nose Creek Valleys. The lake is another gem for those who love recreation, as it offers fishing, boating, and swimming during the summer and skating when winter hits.

In addition to this, the Harvest Hills community association is a major part of improving quality of life for residents and creates regular events and activities for people of all ages to take part in. The association centre is also home to a rock climbing wall, skating rinks, an aquatic complex, a workout area, and three separate gyms.

The beauty of the outdoors is even easier to see from Harvest Hills Park, which is located in the centre of Harvest Hills. This is complete with a community garden, outdoor rink, and play fields for residents to take advantage of.

Another park in close proximity is Nose Hill Park, which is less than 10km to the south and a beautiful space for sports, activities, and wildlife. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the fact that there are many courses in close proximity, including Country Hills Golf Course that's only a few minutes to the west. There is also a small golf course in the community itself, but this was closed for redevelopment as of February 2016.
