Further enhancing the lives of residents is the fact that there are a number of amenities just a few minutes away. Within the community itself, there is a Real Canadian Superstore, fitness centre, restaurants, and gas station.

Additional shopping can be found at Beddington Towne Center, which is located along Centre St N and Beddington Blvd NE/NW. This features a dollar store, pub, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee shop, and grocery store. Deerfoot City is also situated just across from Huntington Hills along Deerfoot Trail. It features hundreds of stores and is minutes away from the airport for added convenience for travellers. The neighbouring communities also have convenience and grocery stores so residents never have to travel far for daily errands.

Although driving is the most common form of travel in this neighbourhood, public transit is readily available at the many stops situated throughout. These will take residents to nearby communities or even downtown so there’s no need to take the car out for every excursion.


Huntington Hills Recreation

Huntington Hills is a bit more elevated than other communities in the area, offering it a little more fresh air and beautiful views of the landscapes that surround it. Complementing this beauty is the fact that there are several parks located within the community, including Nosehill Spring Park and Huntington Hills Skatepark.

The community also features the Huntington Hills Sportsplex, which offers a skating rink, karate studio, floor hockey area, basketball court, yoga centre, and curling rink. The Thornhill Aquatic & Recreation Centre is another excellent spot for activities, with indoor swimming pools for children and adults.

Nose Creek Parkway is located minutes north of the community and is an excellent place for outdoor activities. While this is a popular place for residents to go for recreation, Nose Hill Park is another excellent option. This massive park is located immediately west of Huntington Hills on the opposite side of 14 St NW. The park features pathways, hiking, picnicking areas, wildlife watching, and ample space for all types of recreation or sports. The south side of the park also has a winter club that’s perfect for activity when the weather outside is too cold.

Golf enthusiasts are never far from their next game, as the Country Hills Golf Course is located about 10 minutes to the north right next to the beautiful Nose Creek Parkway. Beddington Golf Park driving range is also in this area, right on the tip of the parkway area. With so many outdoor opportunities, residents in this community can be as active as they’d like to be all throughout the year.
