Ranchlands Real Estate Information
It’s this location that sets it apart from other communities, with easy access to other parts of Calgary while still remaining in one of the most scenically beautiful areas of the city. Named after its ranching heritage, Ranchlands first got its start when it was annexed in 1961. Shortly after this, in 1977, the establishment of the community was official and development was well underway.
By the time 2014 came, the community had grown to a population of 7,926 living in 3,001 dwellings. This was a steady increase from previous year, with residents moving here all throughout the year.

This community is served by St. Rita Elementary ad the Ranchlands public school. For higher education, University of Calgary has one campus to the southeast and one to the northwest of Ranchlands.
There's also a preschool along Ranchlands Way NW that's situated next to one of several churches that are in this neighbourhood. For healthcare, the Northwest Community Health Care is conveniently located in the western section of the community just off of Ranchlands Blvd NW.
Ranchlands Recreation
Recreation in Ranchlands is abundant, beginning with the community centre hall that is home to many activities for residents all throughout the year. This includes basketball, dance, yoga, and many others for people of all ages to get involved in.
There are also sports facilities throughout the community that is equipped with basketball courts, tennis courts, and soccer goals for organized sports. The community also has many beautiful parks situated throughout it, including Ranchero Park, the Ranchlands DQ Field, Ranchlands Community Park, and Ranchview Circle Park.
There are many recreation options minutes away from the community as well, including Nose Hill Park that's less than 15 minutes to the east. Bowmont Park and the Bow River are also popular places to visit is less than 5 km to the south.
Ranchlands is also near many great golf courses, including the Silver Springs Golf & Country Club and Bearspaw Country Club.
