There are a number of churches in the area, including Royal Oak Victory Church and Calgary Alberta Temple, both of which are located between Rocky Ridge Rd NW and Royal Elm Dr. Also in this same area is the Rockford Medical Clinic for health care needs.

For those looking for even more to do, Butterfield Acres Petting Farm is located to the north of the community of Rocky Ridge Rd NW. A cinema is also in close proximity to the Crowfoot Crossing Shopping Centre that's 6.3 km to the southeast. Downtown is roughly 21km to the southeast via Crowchild Trail SW, although public transit is a viable option for residents here who do not wish to drive.


Royal Oak Recreation

There are a number of parks situated throughout Royal Oak, making it possible for homeowners to enjoy the beauty of nature just steps away from their homes. This includes Royal Oak Pointe Park on the west side of the community, the toboggan hill in the centre of the community, and sprawling meadows towards the east side of the neighbourhood.

Golf is another recreation amenity nearby, with Bearspaw Country Club minutes to the west and Lynx Ridge Golf Club to the south.
