Scenic Acres Recreation
Scenic Acres is surrounded by some of the most beautiful recreation areas in all of Calgary. This begins with Bow River and Baker Park, both of which are immediately south of the community and just minutes away. To the east of this is Bowmont Park which directly connects to Silvercreek Park and is bordered on the south by the Bow River.
West of this area the river continues and borders the beautiful Valley Ridge Golf Club. Just north of this is the Calgary West Soccer Centre with indoor soccer facilities, offering residents an easy choice for soccer when the weather outside isn't optimal.
Within Scenic Acres itself are several parks, including the Scenic Acres Park and Scurfield Park. These are connected to the rest of the community with pathways and have walking trails, picnicking areas, soccer goals, baseball diamonds, and many other sporting amenities.
On the west side of the community is a large meadow area that's surrounded by trees and connects to more open space on the west side of Stoney Trail NW.
