The Community of Country Hills
The community was established in 1990, so it's still relatively new with a modern yet comfortable feel throughout the area. There's also a music school named Musica Academy located on Country Hills Landing NW. There are several churches in close proximity as well, including the Harvest Hills Alliance Church on Harvest Hills Blvd NW.
Another nearby amenity is the Calgary International Airport, which is only 6km to the east via 96 Ave NE. Southeast of this is the Peter Lougheed Centre that residents can rely on for quality healthcare services. Downtown is also in close proximity as well, being only 15km to the south.
Country Hills Recreation
The private and member-owned golf course within Country Hills is one of the biggest attraction for residents, especially those who love the sport. On the south side of the community is the Nose Creek Parkway, which continues east and has ample green space for walking, biking, or other outdoor activities year-round. Additional park space can be found at Nose Hill Park, which is located just a few minutes past the south border of the neighbourhood. As one of the largest parks in Calgary, there's enough open space here for visitors to do any activity they can imagine.
Residents also enjoy access to the recreation centre Cardel Place, which is only a few minutes to the north. This features indoor swimming pools and sporting facilities that make it easy to exercise when the weather outside isn't optimal. The Northern Hills Community Association that serves the community is another gem, as it has 3 gyms, an aquatic complex, a climbing wall, and two skating rinks for visitors to enjoy.
