Downtown Calgary Condos in City Centre Calgary

Right next to this is The Core Shopping Centre and the Scotia Centre for even more shopping.

Stephen Avenue is also home to the entertainment district. Here residents can find the Globe Cinema, Devonian Gardens, hotels, and the unique statues. The government district is located along Macleod Trail and near Chinatown (in East Village). Here residents can find a public library, the police headquarters, and various other government buildings. In the cultural district, which is located along 237 8 Ave SE, residents will find a lot of entertainment options. The EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts, the Glenbow Museum, and Jack Singer Concert Hall are just the names of a few.

There are many public and private schools that serve the Downtown Calgary area, including Connaught School, Mount Royal School, and Western Canada High School. There are also colleges in close proximity that can be reached via public transit or a vehicle. Health care is accessible at the Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre or Rockyview General Hospital to the south.


Downtown Calgary Outdoor Activities

Recreation is not lost in the sea of tall skyscrapers that make up Downtown Calgary. There are many local parks and even gardens that residents can visit to feel like they're in the middle of mother nature. Eau Claire Park and Sien Lok Park are also located at the northern border of the community, both providing stunning views of the Bow River and beautiful landscaping. For even more outdoor space, Prince's Island Park is right next to Eau Claire Park and a great place for trails, picnicking, and major events.

Golf enthusiasts can find several options close to the downtown area, including the Shaganappi Golf Course on 26 St SW. Richmond Green Golf Course is also nearby for those willing to travel a little bit further. Those interested in skating will find enjoyment at the outdoor Olympic Plaza Skating Rink, which is located on 8 Ave SE. While only designated as a skating rink during the winter, this does turn into a splash pad during the summer for relief from high temperatures.
