Fairview in South Calgary
The community of Fairview is unique in the fact that it’s a blend of beautiful residential homes and commercial properties, all nestled around nature at its best. Specifically located in southeast Calgary, it’s bounded by the stunning Bow River to the east, Glenmore Trail to the north, Macleod Trail to the west, and Heritage Drive to the south. Although other communities in this sector of the city are fairly new, Fairview is one with history. It was first annexed in 1956 and started development as a low-density residential community just three short years later.

The majority of homes for sale in Fairview are single-family residences, although there are condos and apartments mixed in as well. Many of the properties still have classic designs that were used in the 60’s, although many have been renovated to better reflect styles and architecture of today. On the interior, it’s common to find three-bedroom bungalows and split-level layouts to maximize space. Outside of these properties are beautiful landscapes with mature trees and green grass.
One of the biggest draws for buyers is the small-town feel they experience when they are viewing real estate listings in Fairview. The small size presents a cozy atmosphere where many neighbours know each other and enjoy the safety of the community. However, with investors gaining interest in suburbs that offer convenience and beauty like Fairview does, it's no surprise that this neighbourhood has grown in recent years and is expected to continue doing so well into the future.
