When it comes to the history of Hidden Valley, it was recognized as a community in 1990 before having infrastructure added in 10 years later. This has continued to grow the population, which eventually rose to 11,874 living in 3,839 homes by the year 2014.

The real estate in Hidden Valley consists mainly of single-family properties, there are several townhouses in the area as well. When it comes to the styles, most are beautifully designed properties that have modern amenities that any homeowner would love.

Real estate prices vary in the area, with townhouses normally priced in the low $300,000's and single-family properties being priced in the high $300,000's to low $400,000's. There are some high-end properties that are listed much higher, although these don't normally come on the market as often.

For higher education, there are many options in close proximity, including the University of Calgary and SAIT, both which are around 15 minutes to the south.

When it comes to healthcare, Alberta's Children's Hospital and Foothills Medical Centre are also 15 minutes to the south while the Peter Lougheed Centre is roughly 20 minutes to the southeast. Dental, chiropractic, and other everyday health services can be found in the communities surrounding Hidden Valley as well.

Shopping is another convenience residents don't have to travel far for, especially with the Beacon Hill Shopping Centre being just a few minutes away in the neighbouring community of Sherwood. The Creekside Shopping Centre is even closer in the community of Evanston to the immediate north.

The massive shopping complex Deerfoot City is also just 10 minutes to the southeast, offering residents anything they could want without having to go far from home. For those who travel often, the airport is only 11km to the east, making travel easy.


Hidden Valley Recreation

Recreation is always an option for residents of Hidden Valley. This is largely due to the fact that the beautiful Nose Hill Park is only a few minutes away and offers ample space for all types of sports or activities one could want to do.

In addition to this, Country Hills Golf Course borders the east side of the community, in the neighbourhood of Country Hills. Visitors who follow this down will find themselves at the Nose Creek Parkway, which is another excellent spot for outdoor recreation all year long. When it comes to an indoor recreation centre, Cardel Place is only 10 minutes to the east and features indoor pools, a skating rink, a hockey rink, and other indoor activity facilities.

Hidden Ranch Park is located in the centre of the community, and the perfect spot for outdoor play or even a casual picnic. In addition to this, the community has playgrounds for younger children as well as sports fields for organized and casual sports.

Hidden Valley also has a brand new community centre that regularly hosts activities and events for residents. In addition to this, there are brand new tennis courts to further add to the enrichment for those who live here.
