Sandstone Valley is surrounded by many other excellent neighbourhoods, residents who live here enjoy the beauty as well as convenience in their surroundings. The area is relatively quiet, with a well-connected feel that has helped to increase the safety of the neighbourhood.

When it comes to real estate in Sandstone Valley, there are many options for styles, including brand new homes, dated homes, and condominiums. When it comes to going out of town, the Calgary International Airport is a short 10km trip to the east. Within the community, itself are many additional amenities, including Little Caesars, Dairy Queen and Esso Gas Station. Additional retail and dining choices can be found in the Beddington Towne Centre to the immediate southeast. The larger shopping complex of Deerfoot City another nearby treasure that's just 7km to the southeast. It has hundreds of stores and restaurants along with incredible facilities for visitors to take advantage of.

Residents of Sandstone Valley are also close to the Creekside Shopping Centre, grocery stores, theatres, and big box stores that offer convenience for everyday living. For those who travel to the downtown area, it's an 18-minute drive to the south (without traffic) or a 60-minute public transit ride. Further adding to the convenience is the fact that public transit stops in the neighbourhood can take travellers all around the rest of the city as well as neighbouring communities.


Sandstone Valley Recreation

Sandstone Valley is surrounded by some of the most beautiful recreation in north Calgary. This includes Nose Hill Park, which touches the southwest corner of the community. Residents can reach this using the pathway system and enjoy all the recreation and activity space that this park has so much of. Another nearby recreation treasure is the Nose Creek Parkway, which is minutes northeast of the neighbourhood. For those who golf, the Country Hills Golf Course is immediately diagonal to Sandstone Valley. The Hamptons Golf Club is another option that's not too far of a drive away.

Sandstone Valley has many recreation amenities within its borders as well, including sporting facilities, hockey rinks, tennis courts, basketball courts, and playgrounds. Sandstone Park that's located in the centre of the community is also a great place to spend an afternoon enjoying open green space with a playground and picnic areas. In addition to all of this, residents can stay active by joining in the many programs and activities that are hosted by the community association all throughout the year.
